Perth, March 8 2026:
Annabel Sutherland scored a commanding century and Australia Women completed a dominant 10-wicket victory over India Women on the third day of the lone day-night Test at the WACA Ground in Perth on Sunday.
Australia chased a modest target of 25 runs without loss after dismissing India for 149 in the second innings to seal the one-off match and the series 1-0.
Sutherland led the hosts with 129 in the first innings, while Ellyse Perry added 76 to power Australia to 323 in reply to India’s first-innings total of 198. The 125-run lead proved decisive as India failed to recover in the second innings despite a fighting 63 from Pratika Rawal.
Resuming day three in trouble, India lost their remaining wickets for 149, setting Australia a token target that Georgia Voll (16 not out) and Phoebe Litchfield (11 not out) chased down in 4.3 overs.
Earlier, Jemimah Rodrigues made 52 in India’s first innings, but Annabel Sutherland (4-46) and Lucy Hamilton (3-31 & 3-32) kept the visitors under pressure throughout the match.
Sayali Satghare was India’s best bowler with 4-50 in Australia’s first innings, but the visitors could not prevent the home side from taking full control after Sutherland’s century.
The victory gave Australia full points in the one-off Test of the India Women tour of Australia.
