Melbourne, 22 March 2026:
Australia will host England, New Zealand and Bangladesh during an action-packed 2026-27 international season featuring 27 matches across 14 venues over eight months, as the full schedule was unveiled by Cricket Australia on Sunday.
The season will begin with Tests against Bangladesh in northern Australia in August and conclude with the historic 150th Anniversary Test against England at the MCG in March, while both the men’s and women’s teams from New Zealand and Bangladesh will also tour during the extended summer.
Cricket Australia chief executive Todd Greenberg said the schedule ensures international cricket will be played across the country for most of the year.
“We’re delighted to release an international schedule that ensures fans across Australia will see our brilliant national teams play over eight months at many fantastic venues across the country,” Greenberg said.
“Our rivalry with the Kiwis has always been hard fought and the men’s Test series and women’s white-ball series will be no exception.
We’re also delighted to take Test cricket back to Darwin and to Mackay for the first time, with northern Australia providing a fantastic alternative timeslot for the men’s series against Bangladesh.
The 150th Anniversary Test will be a wonderful conclusion to the summer, with the cricket world coming to the MCG to celebrate the game’s historic rivalry.”
The men’s Test summer will feature a four-Test Trans-Tasman series against New Zealand, starting in Perth on Dec. 9 and finishing in Sydney on Jan. 8, with the traditional Boxing Day and New Year Tests included in a tight 31-day window.
England will tour earlier in the summer for three ODIs and five T20Is, before returning in March for the day-night anniversary Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Australia’s women will host Bangladesh in October and New Zealand in February-March, with several matches scheduled under lights, including fixtures at Junction Oval and Karen Rolton Oval.
All men’s Tests and women’s internationals will be broadcast on Seven and Foxtel platforms, while men’s white-ball matches remain exclusive to Foxtel and Kayo under the current media rights deal running through 2031.
