Karachi, 26 April 2026:
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday announced a 15-member women’s squad for the upcoming bilateral ODI series against Zimbabwe. The three ODIs are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 cycle.
The matches will be played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from 4 to 9 May, with the first ball to be bowled at 3:30pm local time.
Following the ODIs, both sides will feature in a three-match T20I series from 12 to 15 May at the same venue, providing much-needed preparation for the home side ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup scheduled later in June.
Fatima Sana will continue to lead the seventh-ranked side in the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings. The squad includes one uncapped player, Momina Riasat.
Fatima has featured in 59 ODIs, taking 77 wickets and scoring 749 runs, including five half-centuries.
Pakistan last toured South Africa earlier this year, where they played three ODIs and three T20Is, losing both series 2-1.
There are two changes in the squad that featured in the ODI series in South Africa. Left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal has been replaced by left-arm orthodox spinner Momina. Sadia currently sits 15th in the ICC Women’s ODI Bowling Rankings.
Momina earned her place after finishing as the leading wicket-taker for Invincibles in the recently concluded Pakistan’s National Women’s T20 Tournament, claiming 16 wickets.
All-rounder Rameen Shamim returns to the side after missing the South Africa series due to injury. The 30-year-old replaces off-spinner Umm-e-Hani, who took two wickets in the ODI series.
Also, all 15 players selected in the squad were part of the 25-player group that took part in an eight-day skills camp hosted by the PCB earlier this month in Lahore following the conclusion of the domestic tournament.
In the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 standings, Pakistan are currently fifth with two points from three matches. Zimbabwe sit eighth with no points after playing three matches against New Zealand earlier this year.
