House full at Gaddafi Stadium as Lahore crowd enjoys third T20I between Pakistan and South Africa

Lahore, 2 November 2025:

The iconic Gaddafi Stadium was packed to capacity once again on Saturday as fans turned up in huge numbers for the third and final T20 International between Pakistan and South Africa.

This marked the second consecutive sold-out game in Lahore, following Friday night’s nine-wicket win for Pakistan that levelled the series 1-1. The electric atmosphere carried into the weekend as passionate supporters filled every stand to cheer on the home side under the floodlights.

The Gaddafi Stadium, recently rebuilt ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, has reaffirmed its place as the heartbeat of Pakistan cricket. The renovation has given the historic venue a modern look while preserving its traditional character and the back-to-back full houses have reflected the fans’ enduring love for the game.

Since 2015, Lahore has hosted 26 men’s T20Is, with Pakistan winning 16 of them. Against South Africa, this is the fifth T20I encounter in Lahore, Pakistan have won three and lost one before the ongoing match.

The stadium’s return to full capacity crowds marks a significant moment for Pakistan cricket, which has steadily rebuilt its international hosting status over the past decade. The high turnouts against South Africa this week have once again underscored Lahore’s status as one of the most vibrant cricketing venues in the world.
